ABA (Applied Behavioral Analysis)
What is ABA Therapy?
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is an evidence-based therapy designed to support children diagnosed with Autism. It focuses on modifying environmental factors to encourage positive behaviors and build essential life skills such as communication, play, and social interaction. Research shows that early intervention through ABA can significantly improve a child’s IQ, language development, and social abilities.
At Paramount Children’s Therapy Center, we provide ABA therapy to children from 18 months to 21 years old in a nurturing, child-centered environment.
How Can ABA Help Your Child?
ABA therapy uses structured techniques such as Discrete Trial Training (DTT), Natural Environment Teaching (NET), and Derived Relational Responding to teach and reinforce new behaviors. The goal is to promote independence, improve social functioning, and prepare children for success in everyday life.
ABA can help improve:
-
Expressing wants and needs
-
Waiting, sharing, and taking turns
-
Engaging in conversations
-
Trying new foods
-
Toilet training and bathroom independence
-
Playing appropriately with toys
-
Using imagination during play
-
Participating in group activities with peers

Occupational Therapy
Helping Kids Grow Through Occupational Therapy
At Paramount Children’s Therapy, our occupational therapists help kids build the skills they need to do everyday things—like getting dressed, using scissors, playing with friends, or focusing in school.
We work with children on:
-
Sensory challenges (like being bothered by sounds or textures)
-
Fine motor skills (like holding a pencil or using buttons)
-
Social and behavior skills (like taking turns or following directions)
-
Self-care independence (like brushing teeth or tying shoes)
- Feeding therapy (like helping children develop positive eating behaviors and overcome challenges with food through structured, behavior-based techniques)
Every child is unique, so we create a personalized plan—sometimes called a sensory diet—to help them grow stronger at home, at school, and out in the community.
Our therapy sessions feel more like playtime than work! Kids engage in fun, hands-on activities that are just right for them—so they can learn, feel confident, and enjoy being kids.
Physical Therapy
Helping Kids Move, Play, and Grow with Physical Therapy
At Paramount Children’s Therapy, our physical therapists help kids build strength, balance, and coordination so they can move with confidence and enjoy everyday activities.
We work with children who may have trouble with:
-
Walking or running differently
-
Muscle strength or flexibility
-
Balance and coordination
-
Sitting or standing tall (posture)
-
Pain or difficulty keeping up with other kids
Every child is different, so our therapists create a fun, personalized plan just for them! We focus on real-life goals—like riding a bike, climbing stairs, or playing at recess—so kids can feel stronger and more independent.
Parents are an important part of the team, and we help you carry progress from therapy into daily life at home, school, and in the community.
If needed, we also work with doctors to help kids get the right equipment—like braces, walkers, or other helpful tools—to support their growth and success.
At Paramount, therapy feels like play—because we believe learning should be fun!
Speech Therapy
Helping Kids Communicate with Confidence
At Paramount Children’s Therapy, our speech-language pathologists help children become more confident and independent in how they talk, listen, understand, and even eat or swallow.
We work with kids on:
-
Speech sounds – helping them pronounce words clearly
-
Stuttering or fluency – improving how smoothly they speak
-
Voice and breathing – supporting healthy, strong voices
-
Understanding and using language – both spoken and written
-
Hearing-related speech challenges – when hearing affects speech or learning
-
Feeding – helping with chewing, or picky eating
-
Swallowing therapy helps strengthen, coordinate, and ensure the safety of the swallowing muscles to prevent choking and ensure proper nutrition
-
Social communication – learning how to talk, listen, take turns, and express feelings
-
Thinking and talking skills – like memory, focus, following directions, or solving problems
-
Alternative communication – using tools like sign language or speech devices when needed
Every child’s journey is unique, so we create a personalized plan that helps them shine—in school, at home, and with friends.
Feeding Therapy
Personalized Feeding Therapy That Works for Your Child
Is mealtime a daily struggle? You’re not alone. At Paramount Children’s Therapy Center, we offer Personalized Feeding Therapy to support children who have difficulty eating or trying new foods.
Our therapists are trained in the Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) Approach to Feeding—a gentle, evidence-based method created especially for picky or problem eaters. This approach looks at the whole child, including:
-
Motor and oral motor development
-
Sensory sensitivities
-
Behavior and mealtime environment
Using “Play with a Purpose,” children learn about food through fun, hands-on experiences that match their comfort level and developmental stage. There’s no pressure—just progress, one step at a time.
We’re here to help your child feel more confident with food—and to give you the support and guidance you need at home.
Sensory Therapy
Personalized Sensory Therapy That Supports Your Child’s Growth
At Paramount Children’s Therapy Center, we understand that every child experiences the world in their own unique way. That’s why our Sensory Therapy sessions take place in our bright, newly remodeled sensory gym—a fun, safe space designed to help children feel calm, focused, and ready to learn.
For children with Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD), everyday experiences like sounds, textures, or movement can feel overwhelming or confusing. SPD can affect one or more of the body’s 8 sensory systems, including:
-
Sight, sound, taste, smell, and touch
-
Balance and movement (vestibular)
-
Body awareness (proprioception)
-
Internal cues (interoception, like hunger or the need to use the bathroom)
Our licensed occupational therapists personalize every session to your child’s unique sensory needs. Through fun, play-based activities like using swings, the ball pit, and deep pressure techniques, your child will work toward better regulation and comfort in their environment.
We also work closely with you—the parent—by teaching co-regulation and self-regulation strategies, and by creating a customized sensory diet that supports your child at home, in school, and out in the world.
At Paramount, we’re here to help your child not just cope, but thrive.
